Why the Marylebone Project?

The Marylebone Project provides a life-changing service for women experiencing homelessness and is the largest and longest-running centre of its type in the UK, with over 90 years of experience supporting vulnerable women in crisis.

We are delighted to run The Sanctuary, a service within the Project that provides targeted emergency support for women in crisis 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Since opening our 24/7 service in November 2021, we have seen a drastic increase in both the number of individual visits and new service users to our crisis service. Between 2022 and 2023 we have seen a 39% increase in the number of new women accessing our services and 29% increase of individual visits.

Your support is needed more than ever to ensure that this essential service can continue at such a challenging time. All the money you raise will go directly towards the work of the Marylebone Project.

What difference could you make?

  • £150 could fund 3 nights in an emergency bed for a woman facing crisis, setting them up for more stable accommodation whilst giving them access to hot nutritious meals, showers, laundry and health services
  • £250 could buy 12 clients who have no access to public funds can buy a food shop of essentials when they first arrive at the Sanctuary.
  • £350 could provide a woman who is taking the next step in her life and moving on into independent accommodation with a home starter pack, which includes anything they could need from duvets and pillows, to kitchen utensils, to a microwave.
