Why Volunteer at the Marylebone Project

Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting our work and are a key part of daily life at the Project, helping us to deliver a variety of activities and increased support to the women we work with.

The benefits of volunteering at the Marylebone Project can last a lifetime – not just for those women you are helping, but for you as well gaining a sense of purpose, improving your mental health and happiness and meeting new people, making news friends.

Getting involved is a great chance to make use of your skills and gain experience whilst making a difference and giving something back to the community.

Volunteering Requirements

We hope that applicants for our volunteering opportunities will be able to volunteer with us for at least three months, as this ensures volunteers get the most out of their experience, provides much needed stability for our women and allows an individual volunteer to make a significant contribution to the Marylebone community.

To help us ensure the safety of the women we support, many of these roles are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check and receipt of two satisfactory references.

Please note that due to the nature of our work, some volunteering opportunities open to female volunteers only.

Individual Volunteers

We’re regularly developing new opportunities for volunteers to get involved. If you don’t see anything that’s right for you now, please sign up for our volunteering newsletter or submit an application form outlining your relevant skills, experience and interest in volunteering with us and we’ll do our best to match you with a volunteering opportunity.
